<a href="#comment-82" rel="nofollow">@Brian Panulla</a>
I've heard good things about MacPorts, and it was one of the recommendations that I *didn't* list. I don't do much heavy lifting on the *nix side at all, but I'm interested in learning terminal skills for OS X.

I'll definitely have to give Smultron a look, and the other two apps sound intriguing as well. Thanks for the recommendations.

Coda has a really slick interface, nice project management features, and built-in FTP. Its definitely a solid app.

Lots of good stuff already on your list. Some of my favs not present:

Smultron - for when you just need to edit a simple text file or three

MacPorts - Install all your FOSS with "sudo port install foo". Things like Subversion, MySQL and other developer tools are easier to manage this way than with standalone packages.

QuickSynergy - KM sharing; drop your macbook/hackintosh on your desk and use the desktop keyboard mouse to control both systems.

SoundSource - menu bar audio input/output router. Toggle between headphones and speakers with easy setting access.
